About Me

I'm a self-taught American artist specializing in Comic Art and Illustration. I have been drawing since I could pick up a pencil; the digital arts came later and my education continues.

The first time I discovered the term “Concept Art” I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Have I targeted any triple A game manufacturers? No.  What I most enjoy is working with authors to hit the right mood and tone for their creations, characters and settings. I take great pride in hitting those elusive (to other people) marks… and, if you find you’ve need of such things, by all means, don’t be shy – contact me!

My art business has been designated as a “Trusted Art Seller” with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.

My Shop

In my print store here are a few of my own visions - I do hope you like them. Each one is a story I would like to tell. Should you wish for something a bit more specific, its the same as above - please feel free to contact me!

Behind the Artist

Inspiration

My inspirations are too numerous to list, but here are a few: Den Beauvais, Larry Elmore, Kieth Parkinson, Alex Ramond, Adam Hughes, The Immortal Monkey Boy Frank Cho, Paolo Serpieri, Ignacio Noe, Alphonso Azpiri, Terry Dodson, Andrew Loomis, Milo Manara, Al Buell, Antonio Vargas, Roger Wilkerson, Jean Henri Gaston Giraud (a.k.a. Moebius)... *whew*... had enough yet?

Techniques

I combine line art and highly rendered / semi-realistic pencils with traditional pen and ink techniques and / or digital color / digital painting.

Career Highlights

My first published work: "America's 30 Greatest Idioms and Their Origins" On sale at Amazon.com. I've done many since then, but this was my first - cover art, 30 interior illustrations, and my name on the cover. There have been many since then, but this one was the first. It was a big deal 😛
